Hello dear friends,
Many of you may know that I have been working in missions with my family for over thirteen years now. It has not been easy at all and we have been facing many challenges and difficulties in our daily work and mission. But, we have also seen the rich blessing of God on our work and recently He has really given us succes in different areas of ministry. I really want to say thank you to our wonderful supporters, who have been with us and helped to make our work possible.
After we came back from our mission trip to Malaysia and Singapore we have been busy with our church that now even has more people and with teaching kids, camps and conferences. We have been so blessed by the new connections we were able to make and the new opportunities that opened up for us after our outreach!
Our congregation has grown even more over these past couple of months, which is a big blessing ofcourse, but it also makes our need of a new building even bigger. We are hoping to raise enough financial support to start on the new church building soon. Please contact us if you would like to know more about this project or if you would like to join in!
Adoption
One of the projects I’ve been working on succesfully, is the adoption of children. Through adopting them by means of financial support, we are able to send them to a boarding school to get a proper education. Some of the kids that we have been able to send to school, are now applying for higher education.
A better future starts with education, but many people in my community are not able to afford education, so I really want to change this in my society.
Therefore, I try to bring awareness by teaching parents about the importance of education and I give free evening classes to children.
Recently, the local school has had some legal issues and they might ask me to be involved in leading the school, because they have noticed my work in the community in the past years. It is not sure yet, but this new opportunty is really God’s favor on my work.
Sowing Classes
Next month I will be starting sowing classes for ladies. I am very excited about this and I hope this will help the women in my community to become independent and abe to take care of their families.
Missionaries
God has been raising up several missionaries in our midst. We now have about twenty women that are involved in missions that come from our congregation. It is so good to see God move in our community and to have people come along side, because there is still so much work to be done and we can’t do it all on our own.
Youth Group
Also among the youngsters in our church, God is stirring up a desire to seek after Him. We now have a youth group of about fifty young people that we meet with weekly and discuss different things. We also have a prayer meeting weekly to intercede for our society, our country and other things on God’s heart. This is a big encouragement to us.
In April/May there was a big youth conference that we attended with our own youth group. It was so amazing and so encouraging to see what God is doing in the lives of all these young people and that His Spirit is moving powerfully here!
Seeing all that is happening through our ministry makes it really worthwile. I expect to see many things happen in the coming months!
Please keep me and my family in your prayers. Pray that we will continue to receive favor of people and government and that we are able to bless even more people in days to come, for the future that is to come and protection for me and my family.
We trust and believe in God to provide in everything we need and rely completely on Him.
