Hello dear friends,

I am so full of joy that I want to share with you guys what is happening to me and my family while we are doing an outreach in Singapore and Malaysia!

Together with my parents and my brother, I am on an outreach of a couple of weeks. We were trusting God for new ministry options, opening doors for us in different areas and new connections with fellow believers. So far, God has done many great things!

Singapore
When we arrived in Singapore we didn’t have a set plan and we also didn’t know anybody, but God was leading the way. We got in contact with local people and were able to do some evangelism. We had no accommodation yet and God sent someone who was so kind to give us their new home for us to stay in for a week. Then, God also sent us people who brought us to Malaysia by car and gave us food!

Malaysia
Our stay in Malaysia had a bad start for us, because we lost one of our bags with money. Our taxi driver probably stole it but we didn’t know. We felt very bad about it, but we didn’t give up because we believed God called us to Malaysia so He would also provide. We checked in to a hotel, but we only had money to pay for two nights. We prayed and I felt that we should go to the FGB (full gospel prayer) meeting. There they let me share and I had it on my heart to share our testimony of coming to Malaysia. Afterwards somebody came to me and asked “Do you know who I am?” Ofcourse I didn’t know, but then he told me he was the director of the hotel and so the rest of our visit we don’t have to pay anything!

We met some people here to do ministry with. Already within the first few days we could share the gospel with some people from housekeeping who gave their lives to Jesus. We were able to prophesy over people who accepted Jesus afterwards. We could give them a Bible as well. It was very surprising for me to see how God was leading this, because Malaysia is a Muslim country and sharing the gospel is not allowed. Later, we were able to go and share at a small group. Normally, only men were allowed to attend this group, women could not, but somehow I could go and they actually let me speak there. So I shared about our journey in faith and many people came to us that wanted to know more and desired the same kind of faith in God and His provision.

In our time here in Malaysia, we were also able to meet up with the pastor of the Gypsy congregation. Many Gypsy people come to Malaysia for business and work. We tried to go to a different place to meet them and reach out to them. We brought a Malaysian pastor with us and afterwards introduced him to the gypsy congregation’s pastor. They were very interested in working together. We do some ministry with them now and at a certain moment the pastor invited me to stay for about a month and do ministry for the church here in Malaysia. I was so surprised by this and I am so thankful for all the doors God has opened for us during this outreach.

I wanted to give you just a little taste of what God is doing here and in my life, but I am always willing to share more, so if you would like that, let me know.
I hope to speak to all of you again soon.

God bless,

Esther John
